WORLD HANDICAPPING SYSTEM
For detailed information see the members area > members news.
Handicap Index is calculated automatically using the average differential from your best 8 games from your last 20 rounds. This is updated automatically after each qualifying round played.
Course Handicap – Your Handicap Index needs to be converted to a Course Handicap to suit the difficulty of the course you chose to play. You can do this by matching your playing handicap on the Course Rating and Slope Index Board to give you your course handicap. 18hole tables are displayed on the large board located by the first tee. 9hole tables are displayed on the notice board in the foyer. Course Handicap Tables can also be found below for convenience
Competition adjustment adjusts your course handicap to suit the competition (e.g. for stroke play it is x 0.95) to give you your Playing Handicap for the round.
You need to ensure your card is marked with your Handicap Index, Course Handicap and your Playing Handicap. Normally you would obtain this information from the Club V1 screen when you sign in for the competition or when you enter your (gross) score for each hole.
While the screen is off limits we intend to add the information to the draw sheet for you to transfer to your card
The competition needs to be closed well before midnight on the day of the competition so that scores are submitted in good time for the Playing Conditions Calculation (PPC) to be applied overnight by the authorities. So completed cards need to be photographed and sent to the Seniors Results Coordinator before 9:00 pm on the day of the competition.
