COVID-19 GUIDANCE ON THE COURSE
On the course please;
Leave the flag in, do not touch the flag.
Only pick your own ball up.
Bunker rakes have been removed, smooth any imperfections with your feet or club.
All ball washers are out of action.
Do not use the compressed air blower.
All benches are not to be used.
Follow Green Keeper and Course Marshall instructions at all times.
COVID-19 GUIDANCE IN THE CLUBHOUSE
Following the latest update from the government we are having to update our rules and procedures within the Clubhouse. Please see the details below:
Masks MUST be worn in all areas of the clubhouse unless you are sitting at a table in the bar area. If you get up from your table you must put your mask back on.
You must enter the bar from the internal entrance near the toilets. When as you enter the bar area you must fill out the track and trace while you wait for a member of staff to assist where you should sit. Please do not go directly to a table without seeing a member of staff.
You must not come up to the bar to order food and drinks. We will be offering table service only, in line with the new guidance. You should only leave your table to go to the toilet or when you have finished.
The one-way system in the bar MUST now be followed. The external door in the main bar area is now out of use. To get to the toilets you must exit though the Fountain Room, walk around the clubhouse and re-enter the building through the front entrance.
The bar will only accept Credit/Debit Cards and Members Cards. We will not accept cash in the bar. This is to ensure a faster bar service. If you wish to top up your members card using cash, this can still be done so in the golf shop.
Do not move bar furniture. The maximum number per table is 4 people. Please do not move chairs to increase this capacity. Additional seating has been made available in the function room if required.
We understand that these new rules will frustrate a number of members, but these are rules that have been forced on us by the government to try and prevent another full lockdown. We ask for your full cooperation during this time. Any member breaking these rules or not respecting the direction from a member of staff risks having their membership cancelled.
If you have any further questions please contact myself on mphillips@kilworthsprings.co.uk
Kind regards
Mark Phillips
General Manager – 23/10/2020

Thank you
Gentlemen.
I hope this finds you all in good health.
I wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you for your support in helping me raise money for my Seniors Captain’s charity, Alzheimer’s Society, “united against dementia”
At the start of last year I purposely did not set myself a fundraising target and as the year went on and Covid impacted our lives I decided that whatever we manage to raise would be a bonus.
In true Seniors style however you have delivered a fantastic £3,216.05.
All of the donations of cash, raffle prizes, sponsoring holes for the Senior’s Open, the cake stall at the half way house, people winning competitions and giving me their winnings and many other great gestures are just examples of your great support.
Hopefully at a later date I can arrange a proper cheque presentation however I wanted to complete the donation so that it can be put to use.
Hopefully I will see you on the course very soon however in the meantime please accept my most sincere thanks.
Stay safe
Chris
You all will be pleased to know that the total raised for the Captain’s nominated charity, Prostate Cancer UK in 2019 was £2850.42
Past Captain, Andy Holloway, would like to thank all who contributed to this wonderful and relevant cause.
Care of the Course
We would ask all Seniors to pick up any rubbish that they see on the course and deposit it in any of the bins provided (usually sited next to the tees). Similarly gather any broken or discarded tees and put them into the bins or into the pots provided by the Seniors Section on most par 3s, for use by others. Also replace all fairway divots as they occur and mend all pitch marks on the green by inserting the pitch repair tool alongside and around the hole and pushing the grass toward the centre of the depression. Never insert the tool and lift the grass – this disturbs the roots and the mark takes several weeks to heal instead of 24 hours if repaired correctly.
Details of the Seniors’ Section Inclement Weather and Suspension of Play policy
- Seniors competitions’ will go ahead providing the course is deemed playable by the daily declaration of the Head Greenskeeper
- Once a competition has started the Seniors’ Committee will never suspend or abandon play for inclement weather, even when there may be unfair conditions or dangerous situations.
- All Seniors must decide for themselves whether they wish to continue to play in circumstances which they personally deem to be detrimental to their individual health, well being and safety
- The Seniors’ Committee will declare the competition valid and complete if two or more players finish their rounds and will declare the competition abandoned if less than two players finish their round.
- In the event of an abandonment, the Seniors’ Committee will decide whether to re-schedule the competition for another date.
Pace of Play
As a Section we are encouraging a good pace of play for the enjoyment of all participants. To help with this endeavour an extensive analysis has been undertaken and the results together with suggestions for maintaining a reasonable pace of play are given in the file below.
KSGC Seniors’ Guidelines on Pace of Play June 2017
Seniors’ Disciplinary Procedure
Unfortunately a disciplinary procedure may be necessary in cases of unreasonable actions by Seniors. In such cases the following procedure will be adopted.
